HR44 Genie, cant delete recordings

I have been having this issue for months.  Not the same as some of the other deleting issues in other posts.  For example, I have 8 shows recorded.  I manually delete the older 5 shows and keep some.  When I press the red button to delete, while on the specific recording, it will go to the next screen, "do you want to delete.....and the delete square on the screen is highlighted and you press the center button and the red "delete" square on the screen pulses and that one recording is deleted.  I proceed to the next show, I do the exact same thing, the "do you want to delete" screen comes up, the red delete square is highlighted, I click the center button and the show is NOT deleted, it is still there.  I can repeat this process 3-4 times and the show is still listed.  The only work around I have discovered is I have to leave the recordings screen and go to "All Recordings, let it refresh the screen and then I "may" be able to delete 1-2 recordings until it will then again, stop deleting.  I have to repeat the process, leave the recording list, go to All recordings, etc.  This is messed up.  It does the exact same thing in the bedroom, with the smaller box.  It seems like a software issue.
