I don't understand how this is different than ppv?
We got our receiver yesterday. I just don't understand how this works any different or gives us anything more than ppv which we have on our other receivers.
There are no instructions on how to get to any of the other functions online? You tube, flickr etc?
Also there is no way except blocking a channel to keep anyone from clicking on a movie and charging to our account.. I have children at home and although I set it up to have $0 in the account they can still get a movie downloaded.
I am thinking this was a waste. Please sell me on the benefits? I may send back and just get a blue ray with netflix and blockbuster.

what are you referring to?
if you are referring to the cinema plus connection kit (CCK), there are thousands of frees shows available for download, plus access to many new movies available for rent that are not available in PPV. plus it gets your system connected to your network so that you can use other FREE slick features like DIRECTV2PC, media share, TV apps, and the slickest of them all, the iPad app. and in the near future you will be able to share your HDDVR content on your mobil devices.
just because the movie was downloaded it does not mean that you will get charged. that movie needs to be play and confirm the purchase. and because you set the limit to $0.00, you won't be able to do that.

I would suggest you use the same methods that you use to keep them out of your medicine cabinet and wallets.
