I wanna replace my Standard Rec with a HD Rec and get WWDVR started....what do I need, DUMB IT DOWN!!!!!

The NEXT part of this same question is: If I have a HD-DVR in one room, and currently a standard in another, can I just buy a HD rec and request whatever else I need for that thing that makes WWDVR service work.   Simply put, does the same cord on my standard recvr work when I get a HD receiver....plug and play or do I need something special?   Can I do this myself or do I have to call a techie in? 

And if I get my own HD rec, what *pieces* do I need to get it to do the WWDVR svc to work, or do I ask the installer for the ICK so that I don't

lose access to my current ON DEMAND access, I have mine plugged from router into DVR.
