I would like to take one of my receivers from my house to my camper on the lake.

I am trying to set up my receiver in my camper and I keep get a swim no detected fault. I would like to know if this is possible. And if so do you have an answer?

Yes, it is possible with the right receiver and dish combo. What receiver model do you have? What dish and LNB? If you have a SWM LNB you need a power inserter as well as a SWM-capable receiver. The only exceptions where a power inserter is not required would be the HR54 and H44 because they power the SWM LNB themselves.

If you happen to have an older SD-dish (18 inch or 18x20) then you need to have a non-SWM capable receiver. If the non-SWM receiver is set for SWM systems, it will show the SWM not detected error. In that case, you’ll need to change the dish configuration in Satellite Setup.

At my home, I have 5 receivers. Two are the Genie.

The H24 is a SWM capable receiver. SL3 LNB can be either SWM or non-SWM as well. Does the LNB have the green SWM label? If you are not sure, does it have one output or four outputs?

If it does turn out to be SWM, you’ll need to buy a power inserter 21V on Amazon, Solid Signal, etc.

If it turns out to be non-SWM, you’ll need to go into Satellite Setup on the H24 and select Multiswitch rather than SWM.

@Mitchpilkington thanks for confirming. Yes, you do have a SWM LNB. In that case, you’ll need to purchase this 21V power inserter to go with your setup:
