Image doesn't fit screen.

I called into DirecTV for this issue and spoke to a technical service representative but they were unable to assist. We tried all the standard stuff... Verifying TV Resolution, Verifying DirecTV resolution, toggling through all the various display modes (Normal, Stretch, etc...) pushing the reset button on the receiver. And tried the above setting adjustmens again. Nothing seems to fix this

I have a 1080p TV that has the resolution set correctly. (Other video sources display fine)

I can see the full image on 480 resolution but that leaves a significant portion on both edges of the TV black. 

Any ideas?
