Insignia Smart TV got Direct TV for a year and now only sporadically

My Insignia Smart TV worked for the year I've had it with Direct TV just liked it worked for Netflix, Hulu, etc until the last month or so.  Some days it works, others it doesn't or it takes 5 minutes to load a channel but then you can't go to another channel.  Netflix, etc. continues to work fine.  What has changed and what can I do?

Are you streaming Netflix, Hulu, etc through the Insignia Smart TV itself or through the DIRECTV Gemini receiver?

If through the Insignia TV, DIRECTV is not related to the performance of your Insignia Smart TV, so I say either the software on the Insignia TV needs to be updated, or there is some other issue/bug.
