Internet connection for Download of PPV contents

About PPV-DirecTV Cinema, I could watch the Harry Potter (Part2, $5.99) without internet connection and telephone connection.

Could it happen? How could I get the content itself? How could DirecTV charge the $5.99 to me?

since you don't provide the receiver model in question, I will give the the skinny on PPV.  you need a phone line to order PPV or internet connection if your receiver can be connected to the internet .  if you want to download from DirecTV Cinema, you need an HDDVR connected to the internet.  if your receiver is not connected to a phone or internet, you can either order from the web or smartphone, or you can call DirecTV and order with a CSR for a fee.

This particular movie is one of a special group of "watch now" PPV that are loaded to a separate portion of your DVR's hard drive via satellite signal. When you order it online you are admonished to look at your play list to make sure it appears (a blip is sent via satellite) and if it does appear you click the purchase acceptance. The charge is put on you account via the website and you watch the movie on your DVR. There are possibly 8 or 10 movies available that way at any given time and are the only ones that are available to a DVR user to watch at any time without a phone or Internet connection.

Directv apparently has a policy to blur the source of any particular PPV program, so there is no "list" as to which comes from where. This particular movie is also available for ordering to show at a particular time so that all receivers on the account can watch it. That type of order provides for online payment so no phone or Internet is required there either.
