Local channel signal quality
I have been experiencing local channel signal issues for a few weeks now, it appears only the local feed in Orlando has a problem as I only see drop outs and pixelating on channels 2-68. Does anyone else in the Brevard county area have signal issues with the local channels from Orlando?

DTV generally doesn't broadcast sub channels like 2-68 unless a local channel is using that programing on their X1 main channel. If you are using an AM21 or LCC OTA tuner then there is nothing DTV can do about it.

I'm saying that I thought the local channels get uploaded to the DirecTV satellite and the quality is not good. Or do the local channels get sent directly to the dish on my roof instead? Like an antenna? However the local channels get to me it has gotten worse over the past 3 months.

Please share with me more details about what you're experiencing and if this is happening in all your receivers. We'll take it from there.

Well, on most local channels NBC, CBS, FOX, etc., we have been experiencing drop outs, pixelating, sound not matching picture, freezing, gaps in recorded programming. Weather has only been an issue when storm clouds approach from the SW. Today there is no weather close by. My local news from channel 6 in Orlando is at times unwatchable, from 4 to 6 pm.

Thanks for the details.
We get that weather can affect the service and programming. Please follow some steps to Refresh your DIRECTV Service and Equipment. Let me know the results.

Local channels that DTV carries are sent to the sats.
