Media Share Doesn't Show on the Directv Menu
I have Windows XP SP3, Windows Media Player 11, McAfee Security and the Directv DVR. I have the ethernet cable plugged into the DVR and into my DSL Modem, my DSL modem is plugged into my computer. I see the DVR in the Media Player and allowed it access. The DVR shows in the McAfee Network Manager. However, the DVR is not showing in my Network Connections and the Media Share option is not showing under the Directv Menu. I have tried the Network Setup Wizard and apparently that is not working either and acts as if I have dial-up and I do not! I have spent numerous hours/days trying to network and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Directv cannot help me and suggested I go here. Sooooo...here I am! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
