NBA League Pass still is not working on Day 1. This seems to happen every year.

NBA app says - "Your plan does not include access to League Pass. Please contact your TV Provider to upgrade or Subscribe to League Pass below."

NBA website says- 

Success! You now have access to NBA TV with your Subscription. but then gives the same error when you try to watch a game.



My friend said his NBA.com account (he subscribes through them) is working flawlessly.

I am desperate for some answers on whether or not I can even watch my team tonight, or even this week at all?

I'm willing to bet that you are logged into NBA.com as well as your service provider and you don't realize it. Because there is no way that it can't work. Go to your account settings and log out of NBA.com

Having the same problem.  I've been on the phone with Directv for over 5 hours this week.  Twice, after spending a long time on the phone with them, they've transferred me to a number that is for ordering equipment or returns.

If you're having trouble viewing the games, Kappy73's advice is helpful. I use my appletv to watch archived games. If it's been a few days, or if I switch to the appletv in the bedroom, I get the same message (your subscription doesn't include NBA league pass. Upgrade to watch...). I click "already subscribed" and it makes me go through the authentication process again, then everything works fine. On my iPad or iPhone I just log in with my TV provider, NOT my NBA ID, and then it authenticates and works fine.

@vkandjk77 I have Directv and they advised me to log out of the app, change my Directv password, and then log back in using only the TV provider credentials. It worked!

i asked about this in a new thread.  DirecTv Help responded once with an answer that was not a solution.  That thread was then closed by someone since this thread is open.  

However there are no working solutions in this thread, i have tried every variation of everything suggested.

I have not gotten anything close to a solution from tech support, who have lied to me twice now by saying that someone would call to help fix this and of course nobody calls. They're just getting you off the phone and hoping you give up.

Not that anyone from DirecTv is monitoring this thread but if by chance there is, can i get a confirmation that there is no solution and that your product does not work ?

through DirecTv.  This is a known problem there, i've taken a long and winding journey the last few days through the tech support system across both DTV and AT+T at three levels of support and it's clear, a few of them have even said so out loud, that no one there has a solution for this problem.   

There is one more potential solution still in the works. A manager put in a "priority" support ticket with the software engineering dept for me and supposedly someone will call me within 48 hours with an answer.  

I'm not going to hold my breath but if there's a resolution one way or another, i'll put it up here.

@CoreyNY sorry to hear about your situation. I know how that feels. two years ago I cancelled my directv league pass subscription and purchased through iTunes to avoid this crap. everything worked seamlessly across all my devices. But the tv experience just wasn't the same. switching between games on appletv was cumbersome and slow. I ended up coming back to directv for the superior tv experience and took my chances with the broadband. as usual, the broadband didn't work at the beginning of the season. one week into the season I was able to use the broadband features. hoping you find a solution.

appreciate the support and thanks for sharing your experience.

have never had issues with League Pass on tv only on devices with broadband, which has never worked in the 4 seasons I've had LP  

the most frustrating part is the DTV knows this is a problem for a large number of subscribers and obviously does not care at all.

@CoreyNY And you are 100% sure that you are not logged into both DTV and the NBA.com apps?? You cannot be logged into both. If you have DTV, you must only be logged into DTV in the app. If NBA.com is your subscriber, than you can only be logged in thru them and not DTV. This worked for me.

Def only logged into the NBA app with Directv and not NBA login   I have tried everything that’s been suggested many many times 

also not surprising, I was promised they would get back to me within 48 hours with an answer and of course I have not heard anything

Just purchased the $49.99 Black Friday deal back on Wednesday for League Pass through DirecTV, same issue when trying to login to NBA.Com without logging in to my NBA.ID. This seems to be the same in Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or the Mobile NBA App. 

I get the successfully logged into DirecTV message and I am able to watch NBATV with my subscription. Can't seem to watch any archived games through League Pass. Unless it's not an included feature with linking DirecTV League Pass with NBA.com

I've tried changing my password with DirecTV ensuring it's the right username.  

I'll probably try one more time today while the NBA games are live, otherwise I'm going to ask DirecTV to cancel the service and just purchase League Pass through NBA.com directly.

Does anyone know about the latency/delay between the online stream and live DirecTV feeds?

It's truly a shame because there's nothing quite like the live experience of watching games on TV and also being able to watch on mobile devices (on the go), especially in the digital age of interaction and being a few seconds or minutes behind.

If you watch games primarily or often on a device then you should cancel the subscription 

If you’ve tried all the basic solutions - changing your password, not signing into the app with NBA login, etc - without success then you will not get it to work. 

I've been through the whole tech support system at all levels and DTV does not have a fix for this. Either it works for you or it doesn’t

Well it took three weeks and 10 phone calls that averaged 40 minutes each but...I FINALLY GOT THEM TO FIX THE STREAMING OPTION!
