New GUI - Straight to Recordings from Menu button?

The new GUI appeared this morning. Now, when I hit menu I get a "what's on" list instead of my recordings and I need to hit the down arrow twice to get to my recordings. Please tell me this is a setting that can be changed to go back to the old behavior.

"Menu" never did take you to your recordings, it was always "List"

but "playlist" was on the small menu screen that popped up when pressing the menu button.  since that small menu is gone, it takes more clicks to get to the playlist from the menu.  of course, there is a key a assigned  for the playlist on the remote control.

Never even noticed there, always just used the List button.

There are however, more menus to jump through for other features which do not have a special key for.  Settings for instance.  You used to press MENU, go down a number of times and then select the Settings option.

Now you get the "What's on Now?" screen, must go down to 'Settings & Help', select that, then select Settings, and THEN you get the original menu with your settings.  I don't understand why they added more layers to navigate.  (I'm guessing the What's On Now menu will prove useful to some people once used to the new interface?)  I can cope though.  It seems to run a little faster, so it probably ends up taking the same amount of time to get there.

the settings menu should not have to be access on a regular basis.  so it makes sense to bury it deep within the menu.
