NO HD service for NBC in Hawaii

Aloha all,

Hawaii has no Direct TV - HD service for NBC in Hawaii.

I've been trying to sort this out with both Direct TV and our local NBC affiliate - KHNL in Hawaii.  As I work in television myself, I've been able to call the local techs here in Hawaii and they say that Direct TV said (and I quote) "There is no room on the "pipe" to accommodate the HD signal from KHNL.  Now this is ironic, considering that the CBS affiliate - KGMB and the NBC affiliate-KHNL share exactly the same facility and even the same newscasters and we have no problem with seeing CBS in HD.

I am paying a bundle (quite literally) to get football throughout our entire HD wired facility here and now we can not see NBC's "Sunday Night Football" (not to mention any other NBC show) in HD...  

It's also ironic that each of the other stations KHON (Fox), KITV (ABC), KGMB (CBS) and KHET (PBS)...have TWO HD channels EACH...  

So, what's up here guys>?  I have a houseful of my college age sons who expect to see the Sunday night game in HD...  and I wouldn't mind seeing an episode of "House" or 2 in HD as well.

I was told by my friends at KHNL to complain directly to Direct TV... as they are aware of the issue and have been trying to find a solution.

Does anyone have any "real" answers here>?
