no signal after coaxial cable repair at LNB connection on dish
coaxial cable fitting was damaged at the LNB connection on the dish.
LNB was knocked off the dish, snapping the cable connection.
repairs were made to coaxial cable, LNB reinstalled on the dish.
now i cannot get a signal.

Could be the LNB was also damaged since there are 2 screws holding the LNB in place or maybe the dish is out of alignment or damaged.

When you say you cannot get a signal what exactly do you mean? If you are getting a 771 code it is likely the dish was knocked of alignment. If you are getting a 775 error the receiver is still unable to communicate with dish so you still have a bad connection or possibly damaged lnb.
