On my iPad, Directv app says Update the DIRECTV App

So, I downloaded DIRECTV for the iPad  but it will not open.  A window pops up "Update the DIRECTV App  To Enjoy the best experience, please download the latest version.  Update in App Store"  But the App Store does not offer an update.  Also, in the Information section of the downloaded but unable to open app, it says next to Compatibility "Requires iOS 10.0 or later.  Compatible with iPad."  When i go to Settings on iPad, I have "iOS 9.3.5 Your software is up to date."

Can you help, please?

Unfortunately the DirecTV app does not support versions of iOS under 10.0. If your iPad has 9.3.5 and cannot be updated further it will not support the DirecTV app.

Correct. At some point Apple devices stop receiving newer versions of iOS and most apps stop supporting older versions of operating systems which creates the dilemma of unsupported apps (such as my old iPhone 3gs which no longer supports the DirecTV and Wells Fargo app in addition to some others).

I am having the same problem, however, I am running iOS 10.3.3. The app description says it should work, but it keeps saying to update over and over again.

 I am having the same problems but I am running iOS 10.3.3., Every time it downloads the app it goes to run and it says you must update the app.

I am having this same issue and I have 10.3.3.  This update has rendered my iPad unusable with Direct TV help!

I'm having the same problem running 10.3.3.

I am also having the same problem, and I have version 11.2

the app was updated 5 dAys ago and worked perfectly yesterday. Now I keep getting the message about updating over and over again.  Is there a fix for this?


NEED HELP?
