Our DVR will not connect to our internet

Our internet is picked up by our smart tv but no longer by our DVR so we know it is reaching the device. No matter how many times we type in our internet it will not find it. We have rebooted and unplugged everything for 15 seconds or more but nothing works to reconnect it. Do we need a new DVR?
