Persistent black bar on the right side of the screen

For a week we have had a black bar on the right side of the screen with the outline of a blue box. It all started one night when a small dog stepped on the remote control. We would greatly appreciate if anyone could tell us how to make this go away. Thank you

So far we have tried.

Rebooting x3

Resetting the Geni Mini

Unplugging and plugging in cables

Turning the closed caption on and off

Spending an hour on the phone with tech support

Other channels outside of DirectTV do not feature the black bar, this is a DirectTV issue/setting

That doesn't look like anything a DirecTV box should produce.

What DVR/Receiver model do you have?

How exactly is it connected to your TV?

Can you try a different TV INPUT connection?
