Pixelated channels

Why are some of my channels pixelated when I pay for HD quality?

Probably because you have low signal strength and your dish needs realigning. A directv tech visit will be $99. Included in that price is replacing any parts the tech finds needing replacement.

We can help with your channel pixilation concerns, @Akliberty.

Thanks @teetertotter & @TexasBrit for sharing.

We have some useful information on how to troubleshoot pixelated or frozen picture. If your picture seems frozen or pixelated, it may be caused by one of the following situations.

  • Severe weather, such as heavy rain or snow, can interfere with the signal, and cause your picture to freeze or pixelate.
  • Obstructions such as tree limbs or buildings can block your satellite dish's clear view of our satellite. Or excessive water may pool on the face of your dish and cause service interruptions.

We recommend resetting your receiver to refresh everything and let us know if it helps or if you need further assistance.

Please let us know if this helps.
