Pop up banner on menu won’t go away

We have a pop up banner on the menu that pops up when we hit the guide, or change channels, etc. It says “Press select for on Demand Programs, Info for Channel list view,” etc. It blocks information under it, so you can’t read it, and when you hit exit, it closes the whole guide!  How can we stop this pop up from happening? We can’t get it to go away!

We have seen this issue come up before; one of the easiest ways to eliminate the pop up is to reset your receiver. This can be done a few different ways:

  1. Locate and press the small red reset button. It will either be behind an access panel on the front right side of the receiver, or on the right side panel of the receiver.
  2. Unplug the power cable for 10-15 seconds, and then allow several minutes for programming to be returned.

If resetting the receiver does not resolve the issue, we would like to ask for some more information:

  1. Would you be able to provide the full message that comes up?
  2. Since “Exit” closes the menu or guide you are in, what happens If you press “Info” or “Select”?
  3. Are there any other options you can choose?
