previous channel bug
Just got the update for the new interface. The first thing I noticed is that pressing previous channel or exit on the remote while watching a recording does not necessarily return to the current live channel. Rather it goes to the channel that first appears when the Genie (HR44) is turned on, not the current live channel. If I want to check a baseball game while watching a recored movie, the only way this works is if I first turn to the game, turn the Genie off and on, and then watch the movie. Is this a known bug?

Same thing. I even rebooted, set to default factory settings, but the PREV channel does not show the last channel viewed anymore (it eventually gets to it, but goes through other channels first). The real problem with this is if I pause live TV and go to a recording, when I go back, I can usually resume the live TV from where I left off. But not anymore. Hopefully DIRECTV fixes this bug quickly.

To my great surprise, someone from Directv called me to follow up. He wanted more details to report the bug. But I won't believe it gets fixed until I see it.

I have all the issues discussed above and one more..
Let me add to the Previous Button issue.
I'll keep the description concise.
I turn on the receiver, it's tuned to what it was, last night, I'll call it, channel A.
Switch to channel B,
Switch to a DVR recording.
Press Previous (P)
It goes to channel A
*Press (P)
DVR
Press (P)
channel B
Press (P)
DVR
Press (P)
channel A
Back to *Press (P)
It should be switching between DVR and B, back and forth with each Previous press.
But now it cycles with A, DVR and B.
Like this
B, DVR, A, DVR, B, DVR, A, DVR, B .....etc
Hope that make sense.

jakob330 - Very nice work! I felt there was some pattern to this, but I had not yet tried to figure it out. This is a good clue to the underlying issue. Hope Directv follows through, but I won't hold my breath.

DIRECTV just needs to quit calling people back and fix the (Edited per community guidelines) problem.

I have same issue. In addition, during playback of recorded programs, the picture will randomly pixelate for a second or two , the sound will then be out of sync with the picture. If I hit previous button, and then go back to recording. Sync is fixed. Also, sometimes when hitting the 30 second “back button” during a recording it will go all the way back to beginning of recording.

I found a workaround:
Turn on to channel A.
Switch to channel B.
Switch to DVR recording.
Press up channel or down channel -> Channel B.
Pres Prev -> DVR.
Up or down channel -> B.
etc
It takes some getting used to, but it works. With luck this will get fixed by the end of the decade.

Jason - The issue is still here. It will be until DTV fixes it. When do you think that may happen?

Jason - I talked to your technical team a couple of weeks ago. Can I assume nothing is being done to fix it?

It has been over three weeks since this thread was started. Why is this not fixed? So annoying especially during sporting events.
