Random Unavailability of a channel on one device
MSNBC comes through streaming on my phone, a convenience of subscribing to Direct TV.
Usually, MSNBC comes streaming through my computer.
Today (and on other random occasions) the message on the computer reads: "Uh-oh! You need to add this channel. Your TV subscription does not include this channel...."
I would not even know how to describe this issue if I called, as clearly I am getting MSNBC on TV and on portable device from streaming, and even usually through the computer, so Direct TV is providing what they are supposed to, but I have no resolution for a message such as this other than a hope that at a future moment things on the computer will work as expected. (I do believe Direct TV customer service would send me to the MSNBC app developer, who would send me back to Direct TV customer service. Been down that road before.)

Hi, @pgtaddress, we're happy to help.
Let's determine if the problem lies with your account or computer. Have you tried using a different browser and/or clearing its cache and cookies?
We have a guide on our website that will show you how to clear the cache and cookies of the most used web browsers. Give it a try and let us know if you're still getting the error message.
Looking forward to your reply.

1) I did not try using a different browser. I will remember that suggestion.
2) I did try clearing cache at the time, prior to my having sent in my inquiry (having at that point run out of things to try and resigning myself to just watching MSNBC on my phone that day).
3) The next day, I tuned into MSNBC on my computer (same browser, Google Chrome) without problem. This speaks to the aforementioned randomness of what I describe, and for which I seek some solution.
I cannot imagine the problem being with the account (MSNBC is included in package; I am using the same wi-fi network in residence as Direct TV is connected; no more than one or two devices are streaming Direct TV content at any given time, usually only one; and invariably when I see that message I can go to another device -- iPad, Android, Roku -- and tune in MSNBC. I can only say I've seen this phenomenon with MSNBC only, being the most frequent streaming station I might call up on my computer.)

We're here to help @pgtaddress.
What you can try doing here is refreshing your equipment online. It will help restore missing channels.
Please let us know if that works for you.
