Recievers dont support RRR?

I have a Verizon Samsung Fascinate and am trying to use the DVR from the DirecTV App. I can search all channels and time fine but when I try to record I get a msg that says, "Currently, your recievers do not support remote record requests".  How do I get my reciever to support it.  I have the HR24 HD DVR.
