Registering my Apple device for downloading and streaming
My new iPad Mini 6 (iOS 15 already installed) won’t allow me to register with my DVR in order to stream and download from my home DVR. I uninstalled and reinstalled the DIRECTV app, I did a hard reset and soft reset on my DVR, I reset my modem. Nothing! The download and go still worked on my old iPad my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I hadn’t updated either to iOS 15. I uninstalled and reinstalled the DIRECTV app on my old iPad and my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I was able to register both no problem. Then I updated my old iPad to iOS 15 and couldn’t get the download and go to work on it. I believe the iOS 15 update isn’t compatible with the download and go aspect of the DIRECTV app.

Thank you for the details. Let's try to add your device once again using the following steps:
1. Go to iTunes App Store or Google Play.
2. Download DIRECTV App.
3. Sign into the app with DIRECTV username and password.
4. Select Playlist.
5. Select My Downloads.
6. Select Register your iPhone/iPad/Phone/Tablet.
7. Edit the Device name as desired.
8. Select Add Device.

I have tried this a dozen times and I only get an error when trying to register my app to my dvr.

@ThisIsLivin have you recently updated your Apple device to iOS 15. That’s the problem. Not your DVR or your iPad or iPhone!

I still have 14.8 IOS and have the same problem. My old iPad that my granddaughter used no longer works at all.

@elm52 it’s best to make a new post (include receiver model, what devices you have tried it on, if your DVR is connected to the same internet as your device, if external sources is allowed on the DVR, and the app you are using on your device to register the DVR)
