Resolution
Can anybody tell me why Direct TV reverts to 480P resolution every time I turn the box off? The only way I can get it in 1080P is if I completely unplug or reset the box. When it loads back up its in 1080, but whenever it gets turned off it goes back to 480 and doesn't let you change it.

DVR/Receiver model?
How is the DVR/Receiver connected to your TV?
Seems that the HDMI handshake isn't happening properly to set the correct video resolution.

Try going to menu, settings, resolution, and unchecking everything but 1080i and 1080p
