Samsung TV & password

I have a Samsung TV and for some reason my internet connection is gone.  I have AT&T/Directv.  I did the connection testing and found the AT&T router, selected it and it says to input the password from the router.  I tried but it won't let me put in the last digit/letter of the router password.  The TV says it is done and then it comes up and says the connection failed.  Of course it failed it wouldn't let me input the entire password.  Any thoughts/suggestions?  It worked before so not sure why it won't accept it now.

Do you have DIRECTV STREAM or DIRECTV satellite? Are you able to connect to your router properly on other devices? Have you tried the usual unplugging of the Samsung tv?

Is this the WiFi password for your Samsung TV? That's something you may need to ask Samsung about.

This problem seems to be between your TV and your internet router so directv is not involved at all.
