server loss

I keep losing the "server". While viewing the programs I lose the "server" if I try to fast forward. When the server is lost, it seems the only way I can restart the streaming is to hit the "red button". Seems like the program is super sensitive to any forward or rewind requests.

Are you still having this issue? I'm seeing a similar problem. I'm running directv2pc on an XP Pro machine with service pack 2. I can watch my programs for about 2 minutes before the program cuts out and I'm back at the program description screen. Sometimes my connection to the DVR server completely drops and I have to quit directv2pc and restart it.

Are you connected wirelessly? I had these problems connecting wirelessly with Media Share and I abandoned wireless for a hard wire.

Yes, my client PC is connected via wireless through a Netgear WGT624 v3 802.11g router. I have tried connecting wired via an open port on the router and experienced the same problem.

The DVR is wired to the router.
