STARZ ON DEMAND
I subscribe to Starz, so why is Starz or Directv offering only the first three episodes of Spartacus, Blood and Sand??? I am considering canceling my subscription to Starz because I cannot see the remainder episodes on Directv STARZ on DEMAND.

You'll need to call or email STARZ and ask. It's their channel.

I don't know this for a fact but if you'll look at the expiration dates of the three posted episodes you'll see they progress on a weekly basis. I'd assume that when episode 3 expires, episode 4 will post, or some such progression. None of these sites (or very few) post the entire series of anything. You're fortunate that episode one is posted, had you come along after Sept 11 (tomorrow) it would have been gone.
These forums are user to user and Directv does not participate so the "considering canceling my subscription" comment doesn't mean anything here.

dcd/litzdog911,
When did HBO get on board with DireTV's On Demand after such a long hold out(longer than Chris Johnson holding out on the TN Titans:0)???
I just noticed it(as well as "several" of the Networks that I didn't have in my Custom Guide) this past weekend. I sure wish the software would automatically add "new channels" to a Custom Guide. I even had to "re-add" the AMC HD(ch#254) after it went HD on 9/9(guess they "removed the old SD ch#254 which WAS in my guides and the HD version of ch#254 was then considered a "new channel' that did not get automatically added back:0(

Thus the problem with a custom guide. HBO has a lot of R rated stuff, so many folks with a custom guide wouldn't want it automatically added.
But to answer your question, I think it was added last December.

dcd,
But...........you guys were supposed to tell me HBO On Demand was available before now(I thought that was in your job description:0)
Seriously, as many posts as I read last year complaining that DirecTV didn't have HBO On Demand, you would think that those same users would be posting praises of DirecTV now.........RIGHT:0)

I feel like 2 cents. Having failed to tout the addition of HBO etc. is a major error on my part and I'll apply for 3 demerits later today. Or, maybe tomorrow.

Hi all, I am new to the forum and Directv as well. However, I have figured out how tai use the hbogo.com and the maxgo.com for watching hbo and cinamax movies on demand. My question is, how do you do the same thing with Starz? I have looked for it on the directv site and can't find anything in the help and I have gone to the Starz.com site and tried there as well. But, that sis not work, after finding the subscribe to starz on demand link and clicking on the "Already subscribed" and choosing Directv, the link brought br right back to my directv site that I was surching for help on. Does anybody know how to do this as I am interested in watching and downloading the Torchwood: Miracle Day series.
Any help would be grateful!
Thanks

I don't think Starz has a "Starz-to-Go" service.

Does anyone know if there is any other way to get the Starz on demans on the computer without having to pay for it twice? If I pay for it through Directv, why should I have to pay again to watch the channel again online?

"Starz On Demand" is not the same thing as "Starz-to-Go" (which doesn't exist). You must subscribe to Starz with DirecTV, then you can download their OnDemand shows and movies to your internet-connected HD DVR.
If you answered "yes" to those questions, then you should be able to download Starz stuff to your HD DVR. That has nothing to do with your PC, though.

Hi all, I am new to the forum and Directv as well. Thanks
The subject of this thread is "on demand" which involves downloading programming from supported websites (channels) in the 1000 range to the hard drive of a networked HD DVR. The HBO Go etc are not Directv programs and are strictly between HBO and the user. It is coincidental that HBO and others offer the service free if you're a subscriber to programming thru Directv.

I do have a HD DVR, It is connected to the Internet and I am subscribed to Starz, but as dcd said, "It is coincidental that HBO & Cinamax offer the service if you're a subscriber to the programming thru Directv, I guess I will have to go to the Starz channel and see if they can explain this. It would be a good idea for directv to try and work this out with them since the have it through HBO & Cinamax already,
Thanks

What are you expecting DirecTV and Starz to "work out"? It's totally Starz's decision if they want to offer a "ToGo" channel like HBO does. DirecTV really has nothing to do with that. In HBO's case, they made a business decision to provide DirecTV's HBO subscribers with their new ToGo service at no extra cost. Starz might decide to do something different.

Just to be clear that two things currently available to you are regular Starz programming on channel 527 and the On Demand Starz programming on channel 1527. There is not currently any StarzGo feature. Understand that Starz is an independent organization and if they decide to create a StarzGo it will not involve Directv.
