The BEST 3D TV!
I've got one of the best 3d tv's there is! It's the Samsung UN55C8000. It was a package deal including a Samsung 3D BluRay player, and 2 pair of shutter glasses and a 3D cartoon DVD. Purchased in May of 09. 3D works great on DVD's and DirecTV 3D channels. Fantastic picture. Also, you may have noticed that MANY new movies being advertised on tv state that they are in 3D! I look forward to seeing them play on my unit. I understand that DTV's 3D is a joint venture with Panasonic. Seems odd that so many Pan owners are writing in to complain of problems. My unit also hooks up to the web for widgets for YouTube, Blockbuster, etc, etc. All this in a package less than an INCH thick. I love it.

I bought a samsung pn50c8000 plasma. The same bonus deal came with it also. It has a fantastic pic also. First sammy i have owned but it want be the last.

Has anyone connected the new D series Samsung TVs? Wanted to make sure they were compatible with the Direct TV 3D programming.

Just set up new Samsung plasma 3D PN51D6500. It does not have an internet browser, but it has wifi and Samsung apps. It works great with DirecTV 3D programming. Look for good package pricing. I was able to get TV, Blu-ray 3D player, and 3D accessories including 2 pair of glasses, all four Shrek 3D Blu-ray and a coupon for Megamind 3D all for 1299.

I have just purchased the Panasonic 55st30 3D Plasma and It blew me away. I shopped for 9 mos for a tv and wanted a Pan 55 inch 3d but could not afford it. Sears came out with a special $900.00 for the set and $180.00 for 2 pr glasses total 1080.00 I jumped on it and can honestley say this is the best picture and color I have ever seen on a tv. A lec led just cannot compare with plasma. LOVE this set
