The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

The past 2 episodes of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert the aspect ratio has changed from 16:9 to 4:3.  Why?  This is the only CBS Directv show that this has happened to and no other channels have changed.  No settings have been changed on the television or the Directv box.

What is going on???

Or might you be recording the SD channel for that show? Do you have a series recording for this show? If so, try deleting and re-adding the series. Schedule it from the guide and make sure you are looking at the HD channel when you schedule it.

Hello @glenhomer,

We're happy to help.

This could be a problem with the broadcast around that time of night, since it doesn't happen on any other shows or channels.

Try troubleshooting your receiver and let us know if the picture is still different.

I have 4 nights of The Late Show recorded at the 4:3 aspect ratio.

At your suggestion, I did the red button reset on the Directv receiver. I
will see what happens tonight and let you know.

The red reset button did not work. The aspect ratio is still 4:3 - even
with the commercials. Again, no other programs on CBS are impacted and no
other channels.

If I do a factory reset will I lose all of my recorded programs? I think I
would.

What is going on and how do I resolve this issue?

Hi @glenhomer,

We are happy to help.

I this is the only program that has this issue, it's more that likely an issue with the program feel. We are assured that will be corrected as soon as possible.

Thank you for contacting us on AT&T Community Forums!

Do you have any friends or neighbors with DirecTV? Do they see the same thing?

This is almost certainly a problem with that station's signal. Have you tried calling them?
