tv apps and hard wired H21

Customer has a H21 and he wants to get tv apps. The H21 is hard wired directly to the router/modem. Customer does not have and HDDVR in his home. I see no restriction on getting the tv apps to work but when he attempts to get connected to the internet, the error message says a network was detected but could not connnect to the internet. When we pull up the advanced settings after restoring defaults, the IP address and Subnet Mask are the only things that are populated and they do not match the numbers we found on his computer's CMD prompt. His ISP provider is Qwest. Any suggestions to help get him hooked up for TV apps.

I had the same problem, but it was becuase I was running through a switch prior to the router. Your customer may still consider it "direct wired" and not realizing the switch is an issue. I went through four switches before finding one that would work with my reciever.
