TV Apps service unavailable (5)

On one of my DVRs I get the message service unavailable (5) whenever I try to access the TV Apps. Restarting the DVR helps for a short period of time, 1-2 weeks then it goes out again. It is connected wirelessly to my network and the connection is good, I have reconnected it and it says its connected but still get the same message.

Nope, nothing.  I only have DIRECTV for a little over a week though.  I have 4 receivers, but the only one I have trouble with is the HD DVR receiver (HR24-200).  The other 3 networked receivers work fine.

Not sure why it is taking so long for them to answer, but I get the same thing with my HR-20. Unplugging it does fix it for about a week. Mine is connected by cable.

I guess Direct TV doesn't read threads in this forum .  (poor service error code 100%)  just like their equipment.

Direct TV pays no attention to this forum, it's provided so we can develop a comradery among subscribers.  I don't see anything to indicate they solve any problems.

Have the same issue off and on for months with perfect internet connection.  Talked with tech support with no resolution except try again later.  Real problem with no customer service.

Since they are unable or unwilling to fix the TV apps and with all the issues with their DVRs (slow performance, ignoring remote control inputs to name a couple) they should just abandon TV apps altogether and fix the other problems.
