TV extended to RV
I want to extend my Directv package to my RV. How do I do that? What equipment do I need? What is the added cost to my monthly bill?

You talk to an 3rd party installer to get a slimline SWM dish that you use a tripod/sled mount or have the Winegard Trav'ler installed.
If you take a box from home when you travel, then no difference in monthly cost. However if you add a box to your account for the RV, then you pay $7 for the additional TV.
Depends on your existing setup what options your account allows. What are the models of each box you have?

When using a home box you will lose all local channels when you get outside of the spot beam so you will need an OTA antenna connected to the TVs digital tuner.

@shannon02 you are 100% correct on that, however, OP if you receive New York locals (WABC, WCBS) then those will always be available since they have nationwide coverage. All that needs to be done is you have to tune to channel 9531, 9532, 9533, or 9534 (CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC). This will not include the other locals, just the MAIN 4.
