Unable to record CBS shows?

I've set the DVR to record CBS shows and they don't record channel 5, they record channel 390 which is not in my channel lineup because I didn't pay for it.

I've put the show as first on my recording list and it still doesn't record. I have to watch it on demand? I've reset the genie a couple of times and it still does that.

This is a known problem with CBS and ABC the only known fix for now is to setup manual recordings.

We appreciate you taking the time to make sure we are aware of the issue and want you to know that technicians are already working toward a resolution as quickly as possible. We apologize for this inconvenience.

I cannot record CBS prime time shows since last September.  Everytime I call Direct TV I get someone on the other side of the world who has no clue what I am talking about.  I generally get transferred two or three time and wait 20 minutes each time.  Their hope apparently, is that they wear me out and that I will hang up.  Basically, Direct TV is useless right now for $180 per month and you can never get a United States technician on the phone.  I bought a Roku and will be canceling Direct TV as their service is non existent. It doesn't take six months to solve a problem like this, sounds like a contract dispute with CBS.

I cut DTV over a year ago and haven't looked back.  Got Spectrum's cheapest package with a DVR. Can only record 2 shows, but I bought an Amazon Fire Stick and can watch any show any time that broadcasts on CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX...... ETC  I can also get the app for Paramount +, Disney +, Discovery + and Netflix at an extra fee, naturally..........but what I'm saving by not shelling out $250 a month to DTV, I'm actually ahead and saving $100 bucks a month even subscribing to those other channels.
