Unable to stream from IE, Firefox or Chrome

I have a client who unable to stream from IE, Firefox or Chrome.  She has Win 7 Home Premium and has the latest versions of all 3 browsers.  I have cleared the caches and histories as well as even attempted a full uninstall and reinstall of Firefox and Chrome.  I also uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash player which is the current listed version.

Even after doing all this it is not working. She's on her home network and has good bandwidth speeds getting nearly 50 down and up.

In IE and Firefox, even though I click on the padlock in the URL field to allow Flash to run and also click on the blocked symbol to allow In always or for that matter Run This Time and still not detecting flash.

In  Chrome it gets past detecting Chrome but then after loading the player it fails and says "Please Restart the Video"

I did contact support but they weren't able to help at all and supposedly didn't have another team to escalate this to which I thought was pretty lame.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. - Thank you

We would love to try to help, @MichaelDo.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the DIRECTV Video Player (Cisco Videoguard Player)? Follow the steps below to do so on a Windows device.

Uninstall:

  1. Uninstall "Cisco Video Player" from the Windows Control Panel - Uninstall or change a program (Programs and features)
  2. Clear all cookies and cache from the web broswer the customer is using to watch the video player
  3. Press Ctrl+F5 to refresh the web browser

Install:

  1. On DIRECTV.com, select Install DIRECTV Player.
  2. Once selected, the necessary components are listed. Select Install.
    • If no Flash components are required, skip to Step 6.
  3. Adobe Flash Player EULA (End User License Agreement) opens. User must accept terms and select Install.
    • Requires admin privileges.
  4. Once Flash installation completes, select Done and the DIRECTV Player setup begins.
    • If user requires both Flash components, they are prompted to repeat steps 3-5.
  5. Accept terms of DIRECTV Player license agreement and select Next.
  6. Installer prompts user to close any open applications. Select Force Close.
  7. Select Finish to complete installation.

You can also check out tips to enable Adobe Flash Player for specific browsers at the bottom of our DIRECTV Web Streaming article.

We hope this helps!
