U.S. CALL CENTER
Is there a best time to call Directv and have a good chance to speak with a representative in the U.S.? When I ask to be transferred to a U.S. rep, the foreign country rep says this is not possible as calls are randomly answered. I have spoken to a U.S. rep a year or so ago. Just wondered if anyone had experience with calling at certain times of day and getting a U.S. rep on the line. Thanks.

I don't think it has anything to do with time-of-day. Just keep calling until you get lucky.
You can also try saying "cancel" at the voice prompt to connect with a more experienced Retention Specialist.
Or maybe we can help here. What sort of problem are you having?

The U.S. reps have a better understanding customer issues. I am trying to help my Dad with his account. I installed Directv for my parents in the early 90s. At the time, there was no security code. Recently, he called to asked a question about account and the foreign rep would not help; kept asking for security code. How does one go about acquiring this security code? My parents do not have internet access, just Directv.

The account has been transferred to ATT and ATT has four digit security codes. My guess is that if you calland point out DirecTv never had security codes they can help you. Or as litzdog says, just say Cancel..
