Very disappointed that OAN is being cancelled.

If this is the route that Direct TV/AT&T wants to go, then there will be people that cancel their service.  I hope they reconsider this decision.

@charlotteweems I’ve heard there will be no reconsideration.  Many of us have canceled  or are in the process of canceling.  Read complaint OAN filed on their homepage… it’s eye opening when you see what is really going on.  E.G. DirecTVs decision was not bases on a contract or cost issue.  Very much political in nature.

I am one that will be canceling my account. I've been with DIRECTV since 1994 and buy the NFL package also. I'm looking at VERIZON FIOS, they carry OANN

After over 20 yrs!!   This is my post from earlier. Hope it will help make your transition easier.

Ok I may be a little slow but woke up this morning and turned on 347 and imagine my surprise!!!!! No OAN. Called DTV and they said they are in negotiations with OAN. I have been with DTV for over 20 years and when there are negotiations, they put that on the channel information. They don't say this channel is no longer available.  Told them they are not telling the truth. Told them they took my program I will take back the one fifty I pay them every month.  They then said that OAN refused to resign. I am not stupid; I know they kicked them off the air which was confirmed when I did a google search. . Now I am looking for a new television service. I refuse to stay with DTV if they take my channel. Wish I had ATT cell phone so I could cancel that also. Called Dish but they do not carry OAN. I figure if they are making me, and a lot of others go thru all this trouble we should just start a DTV boycott and give them a little taste of what they are doing to us. So, all of you internet super posters lets get going and let them know how we feel. Hit every forum you can find and call for a protest of DTV. We will see who is more powerful, DTV or we the people who pay for DTV.  I think we the people will win!

Also got lots of great information on other services which will make my search for a new provider easier. see the following 4  Hope this helps

Don’t get OAN? to watch us on any device at OAN Live!

@Nomore11Sorry you were blindsided to all of this.  There is a giant megatheriid in here (80+ pages) where people have been expressing their disdain for nearly 3 months.  A lot of us have sought alternatives.  Mine's getting canceled today (making the call).  You can use a TiVo as@ahwhite has mentioned or other streaming devices such as Firestick or Roku and any smart TV I'm sure.  Check OAN's website for suggestions.  It took me a while to clear my dvr and getting used to streaming may take some time.  My cable company offers OAN but it would cost me another $72+ over and above bundled cable and internet prices so I looked into streaming options and people on here have been helpful.

Just an FYI. Tivo has a new product. It is the Streaming 4K.

Integrated streaming apps include:

  • Sling
  • Netflix
  • YouTube TV
  • HBO Max
  • Prime & Prime Video: “Prime” contains titles on Prime Video that are free for Amazon Prime subscribers. “Prime Video” contains titles available to rent or buy.
  • Hulu , Starz, Showtime & Showtime Anytime, Acorn TV, Peacock, & Peacock Premium, Paramount+, Discovery+, YouTube (consisting of YouTube original content), ABC, Fox Now., IMDB  TV, Pluto TV, Tubi, PBS
  • PBS Kids, Vudu & Vudu Free/Movies, Google Play

And you can download more as well.

Vutvplus has all the channels of DIRECTV with many (Edited per community guidelines) channel additions for only $15.95 a month.  Vidgo also (Edited per community guidelines) friendly and had OANN

I have had DIRECTV 25+ years and I stay out of loyalty because I could get cable tv so much cheaper so I don’t appreciate them canceling OANN. This is a political decision made by a woke company! I plan to cancel because if we can’t have freedom of speech and freedom of press then I want no part of this!
