video guard player

It appears the video player does not work with Apple's latest software Monterey.

I have two MacBooks.  One with Big Sur and one with Monterey.

First time I tried to play movie on the Big Sur machine I got the message to upgrade the player.  I downloaded, Installed.  worked fine.

Did exactly the same on Monterey machine.  downloaded. installed.   yet when I tried to play a movie I get the same message over and over and over.  upgrade the player.  I have repeated this process at least 5-6 times.  called Directv.  they were less than helpful.  In fact, they were clueless.  Even suggested I needed to change my Directv userid and password.  Clueless

Am I right about my conclusion?  Does not work on Monterey?

Considering the recent changes to Mac OS systems, yes there is a huge possibility that Monterey does not support it yet, but expect that there will be fixes sooner or later.

Same here.  It says to download the new player.  No change.  I called customer no care 3 times for a total of 2 1/2 hours and got the same answer.  "I will have a Tech contact you ASAP".  It's been over a month with not one call back.  I'm done with them.  Good luck.  I'll just watch on my phone, while that still works.
