Vizio 4k 50in connected to DirecTV with no sound
I just recently connected a new vizio 50in 4k TV to DirecTV. Pictures come in fine. Ps4 has sound and so does Netflix. But no sound while watching DirecTV. What can I do to get sound. I've reset the remote on numerous times and still have no sound. Could it be an old cable connected to DirecTV? Please help. I need to watch my Rupaul

Just a few questions to ensure we can best assist.
How long has this been going on?
Can you hear on any channel or is every channel without audio?
Let's start by ensuring your cables are connected and secured. If you use an HDMI cable, I would unplug and re-plug it back in. Have yo tried another cable to ensure it isn't a cable issue? Lastly, have you tried a different HDMI port in the TV as well?
You can also go to your settings-> audio -> and Dolby Audio and ensure your audio settings are set to your system.

I connected the TV to DirecTV 2 days ago. No channels through DirecTV have any sound. I've switched the hdmi outlets and tried resetting the remote. There's still no sound. The TV sounds are all programmed already

Are you able to get audio with any other TV that receiver
Do you have multiple receivers? If so, are you having audio issues with all receivers?
I see here you have done some troubleshooting, have you tried resetting your TV and receiver settings you can visit AT&T to help you reset your receivers.

I've had the same problem, I just got a new Vizio TV. Sometimes sound would come on, and I turned on my Xbox while watching Directv, and the Directv sound turned off. I think for some reason other HDMI connections screw it up.
If you unplug the HDMI cables, unplug the tv for a couple minutes, plug TV back in, turn the tv on, then plug in the directv HDMI when the tv's on.

yes it connected directly with the tv with n sound but there is no way from where I can find the issue that is disturbing tv I am using it for the first time here so I have no experience in it.
