VOD Pending Donwload again, after last update

After last update (8/11) the only difference I can see is that now none of my VOD services work on my HR24-500. (My conection is wired)

There was a problem connecting to DIRECTV. Retry in progress. (85)

I am trying this steps butstill does not work

Red button reset on the HR24(red button behind authorization card door on right front panel). When it comes back up, go to:

Menu -> ....setup -> system setup -> network setup -> reset defaults -> connect now.  If it works, you'll get a "connected to Internet" message. Then try downloading a concert from channel 1239 and see if it works and how long it takes.

and this...

step 1.

on your DVR, delete all pending "stuck" downloads from your play list.  this is important. if they are stuck and you can't delete them, you can press - (dash) twice to delete them.

step 2

you need to restart the receiver, but DO NOT PRESS RED BUTTON RESET.  This can make problems worse.  Red button only for situations where your receiver is locked , the remote doesn't work.  Instead, we use the menu option to reset.

using the menu go to

SYSTEM SETUP, RESET, RESTART RECEIVER.

Press the - to restart .

step 3

wait until receiver reboots and acquires satellite guide information . this could take about 5 minutes to do.

step 4.

when picture appears again, using the menu option go to SYSTEM SETUP, RESET, RESTART RECEIVER.

Press the - to confirm restart .  (This is correct you need to reset twice and this will clear out your Channel Guide )

step 5.

wait until receiver reboots again , acquires satellite guide info.  takes another 5 minutes

when picture appears again, you'll notice your guide is there but your cinemaplus 1000 VOD channels are gone. This is Good!  Wait until they populate again, this could take from 1/2 hour to a few hours, but usually never 24 hours.  Once you wait long enough channels will start to populate in the 1000s and "dimmed" shows will be available to select and download.   Try a download and see if it starts.  If all is well, the RECORDING light should turn on within a few seconds on selecting a show to download.

You didn't tell us a thing about your system you simply copied and pasted a group of passages from prior threads.  Reconfiguring these system requires a methodical approach and a piecemeal attempt is often met with failure.

You talk about your system being wired, wired how?  Did the installer put in a DECA BB Adapter connected to your router via coax/Ethernet jumper?  Does your system indicate connected to Internet under info/more system info?  What is your ISP speed? www.speedtest.net What program are you using as a test?

Code 88 indicates information is transferring properly between the DVR and the Directv server.  Open your guide to channel 1239 and select music.  Select a music conecrt and click it to download.  Do you get an orange down arrow?

Check your Network Services

Do you get Unable to start Network Services (<202>)

or success?

Do you use Automatic, or Manual.

If manual, what ports?   if set to manual, do you forward these ports to your DVRs IP address?

Good luck.

sorry i don't know what that error message is. It could be a false message, or actually there is a problem connecting to DirecTV.

what model of router are you using? what type of internet ? (DSL?)

when was the last time VOD worked? check Manage Recordings/History and confirm the last show that downloaded successfully. Search for the last successful download and check the next download to see if any error message is listed.

I only ask these questions so maybe someone can provide further suggestions with the results you post.
