channel 254 is AMCHD. I have HD tv and HD Direct Tv DVR. I set DVR to record WD. It recorded WD in standard not HD. While watching the channel later in the week I noticed programming was in HD. So I looke at the upcoming episodes of WD and noticed that some were listed as being HD and some weren't. So I re-recorded it in HD. (much better)
since then I have not been able to find any WD episodes listed in HD. What is going on here?

The only Walking Dead episodes I was able to locate currently are on 1254 On Demand and most of those expire today. Make sure if you have any series set up that they are set on the HD channel. If you had an old series originally set up on the SD channel, it will continue to record the SD version. Also keep in mind that all HD channels broadcast SD content at times.
