Wanting Cinema w/o buying more equip

Hi!  New Direct customer here & not very happy today.  Kids asked why we were not getting On-Demand like they thought we signed up for.  I called today & found out I needed to either string a cable into a whole other room (tacky!) or buy another piece of equipment, which was never mentioned by any of the 15 or so people it took to sign me up for my direct tv & internet bundle.  I had just purchased a $100.00 modem/router for the internet even though my neighbor said the 2 companies he had dealt with in the past gave him modems.  The one I got is a 2Wire.  Is there anyway to use it to get the Directv Cinema?  Thanks for any help you can give!

What model DVR do you have?  Look for the label on the rear panel or behind the front panel access card door.

Your DVR needs internet access to download OnDemand shows and movies.  The cheapest way to do that is with an ethernet cable, but routing that cable can be difficult.  DirecTV also sells a Wireless Cinema Connection Kit to connect the DVR to your home wireless network.  Check your DirecTV.com account for ordering information.  It's typically ~$35.
