Watching Direct TV online when away from home

I am visiting family in Michigan and would like to watch live sports for the local area on my laptop. I don't want to change the zip code/address on the account, as I still have people at home in Oregon who are watching Direct TV--I don't want to mess with the channels they have. Is this possible? Also, I find it incredibly frustrating that although we pay for NHL Center Ice in order to watch Detroit Red Wing games where we live (in Oregon), when I travel, I am unable to watch the majority of the games on my  laptop/iPad/phone (when I try to stream many of the games, I'm only given the option to watch on TV rather than to watch online). Anybody have suggestions? Thanks.

Are you specifically asking about Center Ice or local sports in general? Even if Center Ice channels were available, Red Wings games would probably be blacked out while in Michigan. Perhaps whatever regional sports network that carries the Red Wings has a streaming app. If it’s a Bally Sports channel, they have an app you should be able to access with your Directv credentials.
