Watching live TV on my iPad at home
I have been watching live TV on my iPad through the App for years. Today i had to get the upgraded app and now I only get three channels plus the HBO channels. No change from yesterday except the app. I am signed into my account on the app, my iPad is connected via wireless internet to the Direct tv receiver and shows i am connected. So the issue is with the App. I searched for Fox news and says it is not part of my subscription same with all the news channels

Following as my issue is the same as yours except I don't have the HBO channels. I just get three channels (230, 238, 602) that I don't recall ever watching.
Directv basically said "Congratulations, here is an awesome update that makes the app totally worthless."
Hoping the launch was just rushed and this is fixed soon.

Thanks. I didn't realize I could bypass the "get it now" ad for the new app. Old app is still working for me as well.
Hope the new app gets updated before this one is sunset.

Same issue for me with the new app. No local channels and only 230 and 238 for streaming

Hello @hlg, thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We want to help improve your experience with our new app, please try to uninstall the DIRECTV app and the DIRECTV on the go app. Then, install only the DIRECTV app on the go on your device and try to stream once more.

Your solution did not change the problem. Only two channels, 230 and 268 will stream and while some other channels show on the list, none of them will stream. Also the channel list has no local channels and none of the channels I watch regularly like HGTV or ESPN

@hlg please use the older app as the pop-up saying "Get new app" can indeed be bypassed simply by clicking on "Get new app" and re-entering the "DIRECTV on the Go" app. There are several posts on this Forum regarding bugs and such with the newer all-in one DIRECTV app for both DIRECTV STREAM and satellite accounts. Until they are resolved, you should most certainly use the older app.

Thanks for the update, @hlg.
We appreciate you taking the time to preform the tips that I shared. Please uninstall the DIRECTV on the go app and head over to the app store that your device has. Make sure to install the app that is named DIRECTV and not DIRECTV on the go. Once you have downloaded the DIRECTV app on the device you are presenting these problems, try to stream again.
