We are always having distorted picture while watching TV

We have been having problems with distorted pictures on shows we watch live or recorded. We had one show we couldn't watch because of all the distortion, so we waited until it was on demand, tried to watch it and it was distorted. Can someone advise me on what to do? Should I change service or who at AT &T can correct this problem. We pay lot of money for bad service. We are a longevity customer.

We are happy to help, @Gotcha1us.

If your picture seems frozen, distorted, or pixelated, it may be caused by one of the following situations:

  • Severe weather, such as heavy rain or snow, can interfere with the signal, and cause your picture to freeze or pixelate.
  • Obstructions such as tree limbs or buildings can block your satellite dish’s clear view of our satellite. Or excessive water may pool on the face of your dish and cause service interruptions.

To troubleshoot the issue, do the following.

Reset your receiver.

  1. Unplug your receiver’s power cord from the electrical outlet, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in.
  2. Press the Power button on the front panel of your receiver. Wait for your receiver to reboot.
