Where are they? Satellites that is...
I currently have DirecTV service and I'm switching to HD in a couple of weeks (waiting for installer). After looking into things I've come up with a couple of questions. I live just south of Charlotte, NC and my current dish is pointed to 218 degrees. I understand that with the new HD service (which will include local channels), my dish is being replaced with a 3 or 5 LNB. Questions are as follows;
1. How many degrees and in what direction (in relation to the existing dish) are the additional satellites that will be used?
I ask this because my dish is currently aimed just a few degrees west of a tree growing tree. I need to know if I need to cut down the neighbors tree 😉 .... or move the dish.
2. What is the HD receiver currently being installed? Is it the installer's preference? Do any/all of the current receivers have HDMI (Isee H20 does) or will I need to buy a DVI/HDMI adapter? .....OK, so that was actually about 4 questions.
3. I've read that the new dish will use multiple cables to the HD receiver ...... or was that only with DVR?
Thanks,
Bill G
