Why am I getting a message that I am streaming to another device when I am not

Why when I am trying to watch a live football game on my iPad while watching something else on my tv. I keep getting a message that I am streaming on another device, but I’m not. What the heck is the problem? I knew when AT&T bought direct tv that it would be a terrible mistake. AT&Tis horrible. What can be done to correct this?

Try resetting your Genie DVR using the red button near the access card.
