Why is a series still recording after having been deleted from series manager?

I have deleted a series from series manager. The show no longer shows up in series manager or in upcoming recordings. However, everyday (it is a daily show) there it is in my playlist. 

I can’t do anything about it…even when I look in the guide and scroll to the show in the guide, there is no indication to show that it will record. 

How can I make it stop?  

my only thinking is that maybe I inadvertently set it up to manually record that channel at that time everyday instead of (or in addition to) setting it up to record in series manager. How can I tell?  And most importantly how can I undo it?

The series manager will show manual recording. Try a red button reset

Thanks for the reply. I did the reset…still keeps recording the deleted show.

You can try unplugging it for a bit but other then replacing it I have no other suggestions.

What is the receiver model of the DVR? What series recording and channel number specifically? If it doesn't show up in Series Manager AT ALL, I'd go to the Guide, enter the channel number that the series airs on, and check manually within the Guide to see if the R icon shows up with the series recording listing. If so, you can press the R record button on the remote when the series program is highlighted in the Guide to cancel the series recording.
