3 encore channels missing
Tonight I discovered that 3 of my encore channels are having issues, 2 of them say 771 error satellite signal loss and the 3rd says game search, it’s like it believes that encore westerns is a sports channel. No storms or messing with the cables or anything blocking the satellite.

Model numbers of boxes and which ones are affected?
Have you tried a red button reset?
Try refreshing service authorizations. www.directv.com/refresh
Did anything happen before the issue started? (bad weather, power outage, tree limb falling on roof, etc.)?
If the above doesn't sort it out, I would try a full power cycle. Unplug power for a minute, verify coax is finger tight, and then power back on (if this is a Mini Genie or RVU Client, do the main Genie first). Unlike a regular reset, this clears active memory which may get rid of bad data causing a mismatch. This dumps the guide data, which is usually fully downloaded again within 24 hours.

DVR/Receiver model number?
Have you tried resetting the DVR/Receiver using the red reset button?

Thank you all for responding but I had tried restarting it several times and several different ways and none of those ways fixed it but then I used the code 02468 to force a new software download and that fixed the issues.

Careful, it is usually not recommended to force a update like that. At best case it is the same software you have, but there is high risk of getting beta software in the stream which can cause issues or even brick the receiver.
