Can't stream channel 385 with Choice package

I subscribe to Directv satellite with the choice package. When I travel I want to stream H&I (385) but it is not available to stream. The pdf channel guide says it is available. How can I fix this?

Hi @bsqrd. While H&I is part of your CHOICE package on Satellite, separate carriage agreements apply for different video services (like Satellite vs. Streaming). This means some channels are not available across all platforms. A channel's presence in your lineup does not guarantee access to a mobile stream or external broadcaster apps. Programmers hold the right to restrict content and change online availability based on ongoing contract negotiations. Charles, DIRECTV Community Team

Thanks for the reply Charles.  I get the agreement restrictions but Directv explicitly includes H&I in the "streaming" list of channels available in the streaming Choice package. It should be available.  If not, then at least use a footnote to indicate not available in some conditions or regions. Who can I call to fix this?

We understand your point. Your feedback about adding clearer footnotes is noted and has been shared with our team.

The mismatch happens because the streaming list you see applies to pure DIRECTV STREAM accounts, while you have a Satellite subscription. Separate carriage agreements apply to Satellite vs. Streaming platforms.

On our Get your DIRECTV channel lineup | DIRECTV Support the Satellite channel guide PDF uses Footnote 2 ("Channel not available via DIRECTV App") to indicate channels that programmers restrict from mobile or out-of-home streaming based on their satellite contract. Charles, DIRECTV Community Team

Thanks for clearing that up with me. I will be rethinking my TV provider setup.

The pdf lists are just for the main service. So satellite (DirecTV) or streaming-only (DIRECTV STREAM or DirecTV via Internet). There is no list for the streaming content on DirecTV as streaming perks are secondary and the content is more subject to change (vs dedicated streaming) as the service was built around satellite service at home.

To that point, with the different licensing agreements, a similarly named package is not guaranteed to have the same channels between satellite and streaming-only. View them as completely separate providers.

If streaming is a priority, than I wouldn't recommend satellite service and would suggest looking into the dedicated streaming options instead.
