What is the receiver model? Perhaps you have an AutoTune setting and/or recordings that take up all the tuners. If all the tuners are taken up (Genie Mini clients and recordings) then the receiver will be forced to switch to one of the channels being recorded. When all of the tuners are being used, you cannot watch a different TV show or on-demand show.

You can find the model of your DIRECTV receiver by pressing and hold the INFO button on the remote to bring up the info and test screen. We want to provide you information about the Autotune feature.

To delete all instances of an Autotune, delete it from the Manage Autotunes menu. Please follow the next steps:

From the HD On - Screen Guide

1. Press Menu.
2. Select Extras.
3. Select Manage Autotunes.
4. Highlight a title from the list.
5. Press the Red button to delete.

From the SD On - Screen Guide

1. Press Menu.
2. Select Manage Autotunes.
3. Highlight a title from the list.
4. Press the Red button to delete.
