Closed Caption on NASA channel

How do I fix my problem of only sporadically getting CC on my NASA channel. All other channels are fine.

I might also note that this is on DirectTV, and by "sporadically" I mean I only occasionally get a couple of words, and then nothing. jt

Looks like there's a place to file a complaint with the FCC. You might find what you need here: https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/closed-captioning-television

Thanks Solo. Never thought of that... Was hoping, though, to hear a "Oh, that. Just do this...". Might ck it out though. I'm thinking it might just be a bandwidth/reception tweaking issue. I haven't bugged the DirectTV support folks yet... jt

I just moved this from a forum about U-Verse DVRs and receivers to a forum about DirecTV channels.

If it's only happening on that one channel, then it's almost certainly an issue with their CC, not DirecTV's.

Thanks litz. That's what I figured, but I'm not hearing anyone else complain about it, so that's why I'm wondering if it might be something like my satallite adjustments or alignment. CC is part of the satellite signal, correct? (Vs, my internet connection?) Thanks, jt

There probably aren't very many people that watch the NASA channel, let alone use closed captions.

Hi litz, Yeah, that occurred to me also. Guess I'll contact att support. Just watched live the ISS spacewalk this morning on both fox on my phone, and on NASA chnl on TV. Again, no cc on TV, but was on phone - but not accurate at all... So maybe not worth the effort anyway. 😊 I'll try to post any updates. Cheers, jt 😎

The channel is the source for CC, they send the feed to DTV who sends it to the sats to send to you.
